On Thursday, August 8, the annual Stallholders Competition will be held in the Lange Delft in Middelburg.
Some twenty-five stallholders will compete to determine who is the best stallholder. At 5 p.m., Alderman Rut will award prizes to the top three contestants. They will be judged on eloquence , conviction and originality.

Thursday, August 8, it is not only stallworker competition in Middelburg. It is also the last day of the annual fair. At the Seismolen it is the first day of the festival CuliKaravaan. Middelburg's regular weekly market is also held as usual, but in connection with the fair, on the Dam Square. Because there is much to do on this Thursday in August and it is usually very busy, it is often popularly referred to as "Dolle Donderdag."
