On Saturday, May 24, pianist Hermane will give a reclining concert in the English Church in Middelburg. Visitors bring a mat, blanket and/or pillow and lie cozily around the piano, a unique way to intensely enjoy the music and dream away. The relaxed position helps you experience the music more deeply and movingly.
Hermane is an exceptional composer, his compositions combine the tranquility of neoclassical pianists like Einaudi with the musical depth of classical composers like Chopin, striving far beyond the all-too-common "repeated four chords" of most contemporary composers.
